How do I unregister from a volunteer shift if I can't make it?

We understand that life happens and sometimes you can't make it to your volunteer commitment, watch the video or follow the steps below to learn how to cancel a shift.

Or follow the instructions below: 

1. Log into your account on volunteer.communityfoodbank.org . 

2. Click on the "Opportunities" tab on the left-hand side of the page. 

3. Find the opportunity you signed up for and click on it. 

4. Click on the green "Manage My Responses" button. 

5. Then uncheck the shift(s) that you are unable to come to. Make sure that the green check mark isn't in the box anymore. 

6. Scroll to the bottom of the page and check the box next to the Initiative Question if there is one. Then click the purple "Submit Opportunity Response" button.

 

7. You will see a green banner that says "Your response(s) to this opportunity have been updated." and that is confirmation that you have been unregistered from the shift(s)!

  OR

1. Log in to your account at volunteer.communityfoodbank.org . 

2. Click on your initials in the upper right-hand corner and then click "Opportunity Responses" from the drop down. 

3. From the opportunity response page, find the date(s) you wish to unregister from and click the drop down that says "Select an action" and click "Unregister".

4. A box will pop up asking if you are sure, click "Yes".

5. Then a green banner will show up that says "Response removed", this is confirmation that you have unregistered from the shift!
