Caridad Community Kitchen is the commercial kitchen location of the Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona. This facility serves the community both directly & indirectly throughout the year. Each year, Caridad makes over 250,000 meals that go out to support our Southern Arizona community. We couldn't do it all without our volunteers!

What We Do
Caridad Community Kitchen operates three programs within our facility.
Community Meals: Prepared meals that are open to anyone in the community. Caridad Community Kitchen prepares Grab & Go and Dine-in Meals. We serve meals from our facility twice a week & partner with organizations around Tucson to serve these meals throughout the week across town. Volunteers work to make and package our Grab & Go Meals and also work directly with the community to distribute them from our site!
Senior Meals: Prepared meals for local, home delivered meal programs for seniors. Our team partners with local agencies to provide nutritious and delicious meals for both home bound seniors and seniors at community centers. Volunteers work to portion & package the home delivered meals as well as count meals and sides by route before they go out to our community partners!
Culinary Job Training: Adults facing barriers to entering the workforce participate in an intensive, 10 week program to prepare for employment in food service. Students receive training in culinary skills, food safety, and career readiness.
