Winterhaven Festival of Lights (2025)

Expired

Description

Join us for the Winterhaven Festival of Lights!
We are currently scheduling volunteers for the Winterhaven Festival of Lights!  This annual food drive is one of the largest of the year, and we need your help with collecting food donations at Winterhaven entrances, sorting donated food, welcoming guests, providing event maps, and accepting monetary donations.  Join us for this fun, festive, evening volunteer activity.

Youth:
  • Volunteers 16 and older are welcome to volunteer as individuals.
  • Volunteers 13 and older can volunteer as a group with parent or guardian supervision.
Groups:
Groups up to 20 volunteers are welcome!  Please give conservative estimates of your group size so that some slots are available for others to sign up (in the event that your group members cancel). Please note that groups might be separated to cover multiple entrances. We kindly ask that your group commit to the entire shift, as we are unable to break it up into smaller time slots.

More details:
  • Please CANCEL your shift if you cannot attend (at least 2 days in advance)
  • Plan to stay for your whole shift (please do not plan to leave early unless there is an emergency)
  • While designated parking is not available, there is plenty of street parking nearby.  Volunteers will meet at the main entrance of Winterhaven at the shift start (Ft. Lowell and Christmas Ave).  Below are some free parking lots:
    • Dan’s Toy Shop – Free Parking (2502 E. Fort Lowell Road, Tucson, AZ 85716)
    • My SONshine – Free Parking (2411 E Fort Lowell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85719)
    • Zona Fountains – Free Parking (2515 E Fort Lowell Rd, Tucson, AZ 85716)
