The Policy and Advocacy team will be hosting a a two-day civic engagement training Friday, October 24th from 9:00AM - 2:00PM and Saturday, October 25th from 9:00AM - 12:30PM at the Community Food Bank. The training is designed for anyone interested in learning the skills and tools to advocate for policies and solutions that work to address food insecurity and strengthen local food systems along with other social issues impacting our communities. Sessions will cover topics that's include systems change, state and federal updates on food assistance, power-mapping and personal storytelling to build connections and capacity with the group.
