In light of recent tragedies that have taken place across the country due to gun violence, CFB is actively taking steps to make sure that our facility is safer for the clients, volunteers, and staff who utilize our building each day.
The Community Food Bank of Southern Arizona will be offering an in-person Active Shooter Training facilitated by the Tucson Police Department.
This training will take place at our Country Club location in Tucson on Monday, September 9, from 5pm - 7pm.
Additionally, we have had several volunteers directly request this training opportunity -- we hear you! We would like to provide this opportunity to anyone who is interested, but especially those who have had prior concerns about the issue, and volunteers who work in the pantry, resource center, and reception areas.
