We need volunteers for Canstruction Tucson: Build for Hunger! Groups and individual volunteers 16 years or older are needed to support teams in the architecture, engineering, and construction fields in building colossal canned-food structures.
Volunteers will help with:
- Unwrapping palettes of canned foods
- Opening up food item boxes for Teams to use for build
- Cleaning up cardboard and waste from the building area
Volunteers agree that they feel safe and are able to perform essential tasks, including...
- Standing for the majority of shift length
- General ability to lift 25-50 lbs from the ground or over the head
- Ability to bend, kneel, push, pull, and walk
Dress code:
- For your safety, please do not wear tank tops, short shorts or sandals/flip flops when volunteering--all shirts must have sleeves and must cover armpits, abdomen, and chest. All shoes must be closed-toe-and-heel shoes. Please be aware that failure to follow the dress code may result in dismissal from volunteer activity for the day.
