The Greeter Position serves as a liaison between reception and Gabrielle Giffords Resource Center (GGRC). This position works directly with clients and reception supervisors to ensure clients receive the necessary resources. The Greeter will be able to maximize the quality and efficiency of the check-in process for neighbors served by the pantry. This opportunity will also require some reception knowledge to cover reception for short periods.
Tasks:
· Coordinates with Reception and GGRC supervisors to assist and communicate any changes or new developments to neighbors;
· Directs neighbors to appropriate personnel to assist with advance transactions (i.e. proxies, household adjustment, etc.)
Proxies are individuals who are authorized to pick up on behalf of others.
Household adjustments – adjustments include changes to income, household size, etc.
· Monitors Pantry check-in area to ensure they are operating efficiently;
· Assist Check-In Assistants in maintaining all necessary forms and supplies stocked and organized in the check-in stations;
· Assist with communication barriers;
· Maintain a working knowledge of the Community Food Bank programs and mission
· Assist in reception coverage as needed during their shift
Ideal candidate qualifications:
· Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and ability to quickly learn new programs and standard office equipment (printer, copier, fax, etc.)
· Commit to regular weekly shifts
· Good leadership skills
· Strong interpersonal communication and relationship skills
· Culturally sensitive
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred
